Two rescue teams of Casa de Guías on Alpamayo Mountain searching for Italian climbers

Local media are reporting on two rescue teams of Casa de Guías on Alpamayo Mountain searching for two missing Italian climbers. According to the Casa de Guías more than 48 hours have passed and there have still been no signs of the two climbers from Italy who are identified as Enrico Brogli (29) y Mateo Tragliaquili (27). Yesterday a helicopter flew over the area without any success and this morning dense fog on the scene complicated the search of tracks of the pair. Two other climbers active in the area have voice a search alarm three days ago, and at the moment there are still two teams of Casa de Guías on Alpamayo doing everything they can to locate the two Europeans who have been declared missing since Saturday the 31st of May.

Update 04-06-2014

After three days of intensive searching one of the teams of the Association Mountain Guides of Peru (AGMP) managed to spot the body of one of the two Italian climbers.

The rescue teams operating at 5,000 meters will reach the place where the body lies within hours though because the weather conditions are so adverse, security measures  have to be taken among the rescuers.

It´s believed that the person found is in fact Mateo Tragliaquili who fell down of a 700 meter wall after reaching the summit to end up in a fissure. The rescue teams will continue their search for the other missing Italian climber.
