- Continue with awareness work
The activities are carried out within the framework of the project “Ensuring Water and Livelihoods in the Mountains”, implemented by the Mountain Institute in cooperation with USAID and in total, more than 75 professionals and authorities assisted at this important event. The Early Warning System that should protect the city of Huaraz and the district of Independencia of a possible glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) will cost around five million soles.
