O n March 6th Brazilian Felipe da Silva thought to check-in at a local tourist hostel located on Jr. Ladislao Meza in Huaraz leaving one suitcase on the street for only a couple of seconds. However, when he returned his suitcase was gone. The Brazilian, living in Flonapolis, immediately went to the Tourist Police to report the missing of his suitcase.
The Tourist Police started immediately with an investigation and paid a visit to the video surveillance centre located on the Plaza de Armas and additionally a police operative was carried out searching for the missing black suitcase.
Luckily for the tourist, the suitcase was found back that same night by the Tourist Police only a couple of blocks from where it had been taken by someone. The suitcase that contained his belongings such as a camera, clothes, shoes, underwear, and other electronic devices, was found back only a couple of blocks from where it was taken, on Jirón Enrique Palacios. After returning to the office of the Tourist Police in Huaraz, the Brazilian confirmed that no items were missing from his suitcase and he thanked the officers for their quick and effective search.
