Jesse Galganov´s father praises local police and indicates not to give up

C anadian citizen Jesse Galganov has been missing for 51 days and sadly, the search for him has not yet resulted in a positive outcome. Almost two weeks ago, Coronel José Zavala Chumbiauca of the Police Division of Huaraz shared some important updates regarding the case of the disappearance of the Montreal student, however, as our editor opined in his editorial on the 5th of November, the situation is troublingly silent regarding any updates.

Yesterday, The Huaraz Telegraph was informed by Todd Galganov, the father of Jesse that they are still actively searching for his son. Todd stated to have checked up to the trail of Santa Cruz and the city walking around high and low. ¨I have been calling for him. We went to Huallanca and also to Parón Lake. We are praying along with the hopes that the outcome will be with God´s favourable help¨.

About the Peruvian police force Todd Galganov said the following: ¨The local police are incredible.  They are fantastic and so very thorough and helpful. They are like my brothers in Huaraz. They make me always feel so comfortable. We always shake hands and hug. They are very sensitive to our feelings and deserve our continuing appreciation. We are still actively searching.  With the help of our team and the Peruvian police and government we are sure we will find him. Our family will not stop until we have him back with his family.¨

Additionally, the father of the 22-year-old expressed his gratitude for the much needed support he is receiving since his son went missing on September the 29th: ¨We are hoping and praying and we thank all of the local people and abroad who give us their prayers and support. It is deeply appreciated. We need that to go on.¨

Wat een ongelooflijke sterke ouders moet Jesse hebben.

Wat fijn dat iedereen op zijn manier steun kan bieden.
